The hamsa - khamsah - khamsa means lit - five and is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa. It is commonly used in jewellery and depicts the open right hand - an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many societies throughout history the hamsa is believed to provide defense against the evil eye.
This item is a bead charm. It is designed to fit most popular bead bracelets. The hole size of the carrier is apx 4.50 - 5.00mm and is designed to fit a bracelet guage no thicker than 3mm.
